Louvre Sculpture Museum (Mie)

ルーブル彫刻美術館るーぶるちょうこくびじゅつかん

A sculpture museum in Tsu City, operated together with and adjacent to Hoshuzan Daikannon-ji (spot-153). Through an official partnership with the Louvre Museum in Paris, the museum exhibits authorized replicas of world-renowned sculptures including the Venus de Milo and Winged Victory of Samothrace. The juxtaposition of a Louvre-authorized sculpture museum within the precincts of a Buddhist temple, located directly in front of Kintetsu Sakakibara-Onsenguchi Station, makes this one of central Mie's most representative kitsch/oddity spots.
