A privately run exhibition hall that bills itself as the world's first 'art museum of hornet nests'. The official site states that some 600-plus extraordinary hornet-nest works are on display. The idea of treating giant hornet nests — built by the hornets themselves — as sculptural objects is striking, sitting at the intersection of natural form, sheer obsession, and B-class display. It is run by an affiliated ready-mix concrete company, and from August through October real nest-building can also be observed.
